CHOI Tsz Kiu, graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts in Hong Kong Baptist University in 2019, who explores the world through moving images and soundscapes. Numerous perspectives and responses have been produced due to diverse understandings of the surroundings among different people. "Reality is sometimes real, sometimes illusory, and human behaviour is both normal and absurd." She considers this fragmentary way of thinking as the core of her art practice.

 

The juxtaposition of images and sound allows her to express the blurred boundaries between life, time, and people. She uses daily fragments to explore the subtle absurdity within. Inspired by the everyday, landscapes, projections and light have all become avenues for her to develop her works.

 

Her work, 26 (2019) was showcased in HKBU AVA BA Gradshow and AVA Unfolded@PMQ. In April 2023, she exhibited her works A Suite of Words, A One-day Wandering and Slide Projector Will Remember Me in the group exhibition "Last Summer, Cindy with orange hair got lost on the sea horizon."
